Everyone pay attention, because i’m about to drop some knowledge(ima use ‘ now insteat of my .. because of harsh critics from distant strangers). But this time I don’t tell you how to play or how to use the pick ‘n’ roll. Ima get rid of my opinion about the style of playing basketball nowadays. I personally regret never learned playing basketball the right way in my younger days. I grew up with the Allen Iverson generation. The percolating streetballmoves changed the whole game, but that’s not what bothers me (indeed I have to admit that it bothers me, when sum jerkoffs jumping around after hitting a fadeaway jumper and think that they are now the next Vince Carter, without knowing how stupid the shot was). It’s no longer a secret that the NBA is cluttered up with a bunch of well trained bodybuilders, who jump out of the building. As a matter of fact a Larry Bird or Magic Johnson would be struggling. In a nutshell unathletic players have to be very smart and distinctive for having a chance to succeed. On the bright side, you can always practice your athleticism. Although I always wonder, why someone, who is that muscular, can be such a pussy. I think the officials pull the trigger for their mindstate everytime they call a foul for a little handcheck. It is even mor amazing how the superstars cry when they don’t get a foul. I want the 80′s back, where the players took it like a man. Not even complaining when they are pushed away. As a result they paid you back in the next possession. You want me to prove? Watch this -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jBWiol12SA. When it rains, it pours Bill. It pours.
In my opinion the NBA has passed to many rules to make the game more spectacular instead of more interesting. What follows is a generation, who doesn’t care about winning. Back in the day there wasn’t a thing like ‘hack-a-shaq’. There was ‘hack-everyone-who-is-going-to-make-an-easy-basket’. I suggest you to watch game 7 between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers in the ’81 Playoffs. The intensity in this game was amazing and players from our century would be devastated by the bumps and fouls. I do really estimate the Bad Boy Pistons and their so-called “Jordan Rules”. It was really paying off and Jordan was denied to have a shot at the title. When you YouTube for the Jordan Era defense you’d be devastated how stingy the officials were with calling a flagrant foul. Whatsoever the bad boy defense developped Jordan’s whole style of play and his whole attitude. In a nutshell I think Jordan is grateful about the rough defense he had to face. I even wonder why he wasn’t injured more often. Anyway the modern NBA is so cared about brawls and whatsoever that they destroy the whole game. By watching Euroleague I’m glad that they permit a little bit of handchecking, although the flagrantfoul rule is taking over. I think they are just frightened that brawls prevail because of hard fouls with intention to hurt someone. I understand that, but the bunch of rules with “clear path” or something is making Basketball a contest of “who shoots more foul shots”.
By and large I wish that the NBA will be more peeking on the surge of rules, which make Basketball a Pussygame, to change them. It’d be wonderful watching Players going toes and are seeking to destroy each other and pull a humpty dumpy, instead of having love right after the game. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it. The one and only thing I can do is to watch the games from back in the day.
